When do student gates open?

Two hours before kickoff, scanning ends at halftime. Gates get very crowded close to kickoff. The student entrance near Gate 10 has stairs; email [email protected] for an accessible entrance.

Is the student section in the sun?

At a 3:30 pm kickoff against Alabama, yes: 73 to 101 minutes of direct sun per seat. The east and south stands face the afternoon sun in the southwest. Rows 52 and up are under the upper deck and stay shaded. Later in the season the sun is lower and sets earlier, so the numbers drop: see the table above.
