Sit on the west (Tennessee) side or in the north end for shade; the upper deck on the east side and in the south end gets the most sun. Average minutes of direct sun per seat for Alabama at 3:30 pm: Tennessee Terrace west 0, lower bowl west 1, upper deck north 23, lower bowl north 43, lower bowl south 69, lower bowl east 82, upper deck east 121, upper deck south 126. In the afternoon the sun is in the southwest, so the west stands and the upper deck above them shade their own seats first.
