The student section runs from the aisle break in Section 25 through Section 33: the northwest corner on the Michigan side, wrapping into the north end zone, and extending into Section 34 if needed. Students enter at Gate 8 or Gate 10.

Who sits where: priority points

Rows are assigned by last season's priority points. Highest points get the lowest rows; new students start in the upper rows.
Each game: 3 points for attending, 3 more for scanning in 30 or more minutes before kickoff. 2026 maximum is 42 points (7 games).
Your worst game is dropped. Transferred tickets earn 3 points at most. Points reset to zero each season.
Groups of 2 to 100 are seated on the group's average points. Incoming students cannot group with returning students.

Getting in

Gates 8 and 10 are the student entrances. Tickets are tap-to-enter (NFC) in your phone wallet.
Your own season ticket needs no MCard. A transferred ticket needs the recipient's MCard or a validation voucher.
Validation vouchers: Michigan Athletics Ticket Office (1000 S State St), Michigan Union (530 S State St), or the Student Ticket Office at Gate 9 on game day.
Gates open 2 hours before kickoff. Arriving 30 minutes early is worth 3 points toward next season's rows.
No bags, not even clear ones. No alcohol is sold in the student section.

Tickets and price

2026: $29 per game, $232 for all eight home games ($120 need-based), plus a $15 processing fee.
Student tickets cannot be resold on the secondary market. The 2026 allotment is sold out; the waitlist also gives priority for 2027.
