Tropicana Field bag policy: bag size, banned items, food and water

Only clear bags are permitted. Fans may bring one single-compartment clear bag (plastic, vinyl or PVC) no larger than 12 in x 12 in x 6 in, and/or one non-clear small fanny pack or clutch no larger than 5 in x 7 in. Backpacks, non-transparent bags and oversized bags are not permitted. Exceptions are made for diaper bags accompanying a young child and medical device bags.

What items are banned at Tropicana Field?

Bags that are not transparent or do not comply with the clear bag policy. Hard-sided coolers, boxes or cases of any size. Alcoholic beverages. Outside food or drinks, except one sealed bottle of water 20 ounces or less per ticketed fan. Stainless steel, metal, ceramic and glass bottles. Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives or chemical sprays larger than .6 ounce. Fireworks or other explosives. Items that could be projectiles. Cameras with lenses longer than 12 inches. Bullhorns, percussion instruments, air horns, whistles and other excessively loud noisemakers. Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or hover boards. Sticks, clubs, pom-poms with stick handles, poles, selfie sticks or extenders. Aerosol cans. Drones. Radio-controlled devices. Lasers. Audio speakers. Bats. Brooms over 36 inches long. Wrapped packages. Footwear with wheels. Pets, except service animals.

Can you bring food or water into Tropicana Field?

Outside food or beverage is not permitted, with the exception of one sealed, personal-sized bottle of water. Exceptions can be made for food specifically needed for medical reasons or childcare.

Are umbrellas allowed at Tropicana Field?

Umbrellas are permitted inside the ballpark and must be placed under a seat. Umbrella bags are available at gates when necessary.

Can you leave and come back in?

There is a no re-entry policy at all gates. Guests who require access to a service animal relief area need to contact a staff member for an escort to the nearest location outside the ballpark.

Can you smoke at Tropicana Field?

Tropicana Field is a smoke-free facility. The use of tobacco products of any kind, including e-cigarettes, vapes or chewing tobacco, is not permitted on the property.

Is Tropicana Field cashless?

Tropicana Field is cash-free. Credit cards, debit cards and Rays Wallet payments are accepted for all concessions, merchandise and parking purchases. Reverse ATM machines are located across from the Gate 3 Guest Services Desk and in the 3rd Base Food Hall.
