Tropicana Field guide: schedule, first pitch times, food, parking and bag policy

Tropicana Field holds 25,025 fans and is home to Tampa Bay Rays (MLB). This page lists every remaining home game with its first pitch time, and the ballpark's gates, food, parking and bag rules.

81 home games left, starting Thu Mar 25, 2027. Times are local (Eastern).

When do the gates open at Tropicana Field?

What has changed at Tropicana Field recently?

Hurricane Milton destroyed most of the translucent fiberglass roof membrane in October 2024; the City of St. Petersburg completed a roof and interior repair project, including new turf, lighting and renovated suites, and the Rays returned to play at Tropicana Field on April 6, 2026. (source)

Is there a sun and shade map for Tropicana Field?

No. The retractable roof covers the seats as well as the field, so the aerial lidar we use only sees the roof, not the rows under it. Tropicana Field has a fixed, nonretractable dome roof made of Teflon-coated fiberglass membrane panels; it does not open or close and stays in place year-round to cover the field. This guide sticks to the schedule, parking and ballpark policies.
