Soldier Field parking, CTA and Metra 2026
The lots next to Soldier Field need a prepaid parking coupon: the Lexus North Garage, the Waldron Deck, the South Lot, the East Museum Lot and the Adler Planetarium Lot. Lots open 4 hours before kickoff. Without a coupon, park at the 31st Street McCormick Place Lot B or the Millennium garages.
Can you take the CTA?
Yes. The 128 Soldier Field Express runs on Bears game days, and the 146 serves the stadium. The Red, Orange and Green Lines stop at Roosevelt, about a 15 to 20 minute walk through the Museum Campus or a short ride on the 146.
Is there a train?
Yes. Metra Electric and South Shore Line trains stop at McCormick Place (18th Street), one block from the stadium.
Where is rideshare pickup?
Only at Balbo Drive and Columbus Drive, north of Soldier Field. The same corner is the pregame drop-off.
What are the tailgating rules?
Tailgating is allowed in the designated lots from 3 hours before kickoff until 30 minutes before kickoff, and for 2 hours after day games. No tailgating after night games or in the alcohol-free Family Friendly lot. No tents, open flames, deep fryers or propane tanks over 19 lb.
Is there accessible parking?
Every lot is ADA compliant, but you still need a prepaid coupon to park next to the stadium. Without one, park at McCormick Place Lot B or the Millennium garages and take the free accessible shuttle to Gate 14.
