What are the tailgating rules at Sanford Stadium?
No tailgating setups are allowed before 7:00 a.m. on gameday; fans may park in open university spaces before 7 a.m. as long as tailgating items stay inside the vehicle and fans remain quiet. Charcoal grills are permitted; open wood-burning fires are not allowed on the ground, in fire rings, or in chimineas. Propane tanks or cylinders of compressed gas, including those for turkey fryers, grills, or portable heaters, are not allowed, except disposable propane canisters of 17 ounces or less. Household furniture is prohibited, though folding chairs are permitted. Tailgating on North Campus is allowed beginning 5 hours before kickoff, and kegs, generators, televisions, amplified music, grills or cookers of any type, tables longer than six feet, golf carts, and ATVs are not allowed there. Corporate or professional tailgates, including those with private security, bartenders, DJs, fencing, or admission charges, are not allowed on campus. (source)
Is there a sun and shade map for Sanford Stadium?
Not yet. The south side was renovated in 2022 and 2023, after the newest lidar survey was flown in 2018, so a model from it would show the old south stands. We only publish seat and sun data measured from a survey of the stands as they are now, so this guide sticks to the schedule, parking and stadium policies until a newer survey is flown.
