What has changed at Memorial Stadium (Nebraska) recently?
The Big Red Rebuild construction project, a $600 million stadium transformation, will fully commence following the 2026 football season; disruption during 2026 is minimal but affects some walking paths, parking and gate entries, and Gates 1, 6 and 8 are closed throughout the 2026 season. (source)
What are the tailgating rules at Memorial Stadium (Nebraska)?
The University of Nebraska promotes responsible tailgating. Game-day parking lots directly surrounding Memorial Stadium are reserved for Huskers Athletic Fund donors, one vehicle per stall, and tailgating should only extend to the area directly in front of or behind a fan's own stall without impeding neighboring stalls. Portable restrooms are provided by the Athletic Department; no other units are allowed. Open flames such as fire pits are prohibited on UNL property, though plug-in portable heaters are permissible. No grilling is allowed in or on top of parking garages. Intoxication can lead to denied entry into Memorial Stadium.
Is there a sun and shade map for Memorial Stadium (Nebraska)?
Not yet. A $600 million rebuild starts right after the 2026 season, so we are not modelling stands that are about to change. We only publish seat and sun data measured from a survey of the stands as they are now, so this guide sticks to the schedule, parking and stadium policies until a newer survey is flown.
