Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium bag policy: bag size, banned items, food and water

A clear bag policy is in effect at all Texas Athletics venues. Approved bags include clear plastic bags no larger than 12 in x 6 in x 12 in, one-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags, and clutch bags, purses, or wallets smaller than 4.5 in x 6.5 in. Prohibited bags include non-clear bags larger than 4.5 in x 6.5 in or clear bags larger than 12 in x 6 in x 12 in, including grocery totes, mesh or straw bags, duffle bags, diaper bags, and camera or binocular cases. Items normally carried in a diaper bag must be placed in a compliant clear bag for entry. All bags are subject to search.

What items are banned at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium?

Artificial noisemakers. Large bags that do not meet the clear bag policy. Banners, flags, flag poles, selfie sticks, signs, umbrellas. Cameras with detachable lenses greater than 10 inches, GoPros, video cameras, and tripods. Coolers. Explosive and flammable materials, disabling chemicals and other dangerous items. Outside food, except small snacks and juice boxes for guests with medical conditions requiring food. Outside beverages or beverage containers other than one sealed soft-plastic water bottle up to one liter. Frisbees, balloons, projectiles, laser pointers, fireworks, firearms, and weapons. Pets, except certified service dogs on a leash or harness. Strollers. Tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Weapons of any kind; the Texas Campus Carry law does not apply to sporting events on campus.

Can you bring food or water into Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium?

No outside food is permitted except small snacks and juice boxes for guests with medical conditions that require food, which require a bag search and identification. One sealed, soft-plastic bottle of water up to one liter is permitted per person; no other outside beverages or beverage containers, including Yeti-style containers, are allowed. Free water fountains are available inside for refills.

Can you leave and come back in?

There is a no re-entry policy for all Texas Football games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at Campbell-Williams Field.

Can you smoke at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium?

The University of Texas at Austin is a tobacco-free campus. The use of any tobacco products, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, snuff, and chewing tobacco, is banned on campus grounds, including parking areas, parking structures, lawns, and sidewalks.

All concessions and merchandise transactions at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium are cashless, accepting credit cards, debit cards, and prepaid gift cards only. Cash-to-Card Kiosks that exchange cash for Visa gift cards are located in the Frank Denius Family University of Texas Athletics Hall of Fame and at Gate 7.
