California Memorial Stadium parking, transit and tailgating 2026
Season football parking permits go only to season ticket holders; on game days most street parking near the stadium needs a City of Berkeley residential permit. UC public lots take cards only (no mobile payment), with accessible spaces first come, first served at the same rate. There is no RV parking in any UC lot.
How do you get to California Memorial Stadium by transit?
Take BART to Downtown Berkeley, then the Bear Transit shuttle or AC Transit (routes F, 36, 51B, 52 and 79). Game day shuttle details are on the UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation site.
Is there an accessible shuttle?
Yes. ADA shuttles and golf carts run from 1.5 hours before kickoff to 1 hour after the game. Pickup points: Upper Hearst Lot, the Greek Theatre, Kleeberger, Prospect Court, International House, Kroeber and Boalt Lot.
What are the tailgating rules?
Cooking or any open flame needs a UC Berkeley Fire Prevention permit. Fill in the tailgate cooking permit form before game day.
