When do the gates open at Bank of America Stadium?

For Carolina Panthers NFL games, stadium gates normally open two hours prior to kickoff. For Charlotte FC MLS matches, stadium gates open 90 minutes prior to the announced kickoff time listed on the match ticket. (source)

Not yet. The newest lidar survey of the stadium was flown in 2016, older than the surveys we trust for seat-level data. We only publish seat and sun data measured from a survey of the stands as they are now, so this guide sticks to the schedule, parking and stadium policies until a newer survey is flown.

Before you go

• Bags: The team and the NFL enforce a clear bag policy. Approved bags must be transparent plastic, vinyl, or PVC and no larger than 12 in x 6 in x 12 in, or purses, bags, clutches, or fanny packs no larger than 4.5 in x 6.5 in. Strapped baby carriers or baby wraps without solid or mesh pockets or zippers, flags without poles or sticks, seat pads without covers, zippers, or pockets, and tablets are also permitted but subject to inspection at bag check locations. • Payment: Bank of America Stadium does not accept cash as a method of payment. All purchases must be made via credit card, debit card, touch-free payment, or through the Charlotte FC app.
• Getting there: The CATS LYNX Blue Line light rail stops at Brooklyn Village Station, just over a football field from the stadium; park at any Blue Line Park & Ride station. The Gold Line Streetcar stops at the Mint Street Station, about a 15 to 20 minute walk down Mint Street to the stadium. Round trip light rail or streetcar fare is $4.40, including Park & Ride parking, purchased through the CATS-Pass app. For Panthers Sunday home games, the CATS Game Day Express offers bus service on Routes 61x, 64x, and 177 from select Park & Ride locations to Brevard St and Brooklyn Village Ave, for $3 each way or $6.60 for a CATS system day pass. • Food: Food and beverages from outside the stadium are not permitted, except two sealed, non-flavored 16.9 oz plastic water bottles per person.
