What are the tailgating rules at Alumni Stadium?

Tailgating is permitted only in designated Flynn Fund parking areas: Upper Brighton Campus, Shea Field, and Flynn Fund surface lots; a game ticket is required to enter. Shea Field requires a separate Shea Field Access Ticket and prohibits alcohol and glass containers. Tailgating is prohibited in front of the Merkert Chemistry Building and is not permitted once games are in progress. On weekday games, lots open three hours before kickoff with no post-game tailgating. On weekend games, lots open four hours before kickoff; for games starting before 3 p.m., tailgating is permitted for one hour after the game ends, and for games starting at 3 p.m. or later, there is no post-game tailgating. Gas grills are permitted only in designated Flynn Fund surface-lot areas; charcoal grills are prohibited on campus, and no grilling or open flames are allowed in parking garages. Pop-up canopies are permitted; tents are not permitted anywhere on campus. RVs, campers and limousines are not allowed on campus.

Is there a sun and shade map for Alumni Stadium?

Not yet. Sections C, D and E were rebuilt as premium seating for 2026, after the newest lidar survey of the stadium. We only publish seat and sun data measured from a survey of the stands as they are now, so this guide sticks to the schedule, parking and stadium policies until a newer survey is flown.
