Is there a sun and shade map for Shell Energy Stadium?

No. A roof covers the seats, so the aerial lidar we use only sees the roof, not the rows under it. A 70-foot-deep canopy runs the full length of the pitch on the east and west sides, providing shade to most of the seating bowl, while a third canopy covers the south seating area. Without the rows we can't measure sightlines or sun minutes honestly, so this guide sticks to the schedule, parking and stadium policies.

Before you go

• Bags: Only clear bags measuring 12" x 12" x 6" or smaller and small clutch purses measuring 4.5" x 6.5" or smaller are permitted after inspection. Exceptions are made for medical bags and diaper bags, which are searched and tagged by security. Bag policy.
• Payment: Shell Energy Stadium and the Houston Dynamo FC app are cashless and mobile ticketing.
• Getting there: METRORail Green and Purple Lines stop at EaDo/Stadium. Fans can ride METRORail for free on game days with a ticket to any Houston Dynamo or Houston Dash match. Parking and transit.
• Food: Outside food and beverages are not permitted; souvenir cups and popcorn buckets are valid for one-time use only. One empty, clear plastic bottle 34 ounces or less is permitted per person.
