What bag can you bring into McMahon Stadium?

Guests entering McMahon Stadium are subject to visual and/or wanded search, and random thorough bag checks should be expected. There is no provision to store prohibited or oversized items on site.

What items are banned at McMahon Stadium?

Food and drink, including alcohol, purchased outside the stadium. Containers including bottles, cans and coolers. Laser pointers. Fireworks or flare guns. Objects that may become projectiles. Rollerblades, skateboards and bicycles. Pets, except assistive animals. Mechanically enhanced sound devices such as air horns, sirens, whistles or megaphones. Golf umbrellas (individual-sized/compact umbrellas are permitted). Computers and laptops. Frisbees and beach balls. Illegal drugs. Spiked or studded jewelry or belts. Weapons and dangerous devices of any type, including firearms, explosives, stun guns, handcuffs, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments and knives. Helium balloons. Selfie sticks. Flag poles over 18 inches. Video cameras, monopods, tripods, tablets, GoPros and audio recording devices; still cameras are limited to hand-held cameras with a non-detachable lens of 75mm maximum. Can you bring food or water into McMahon Stadium?

No outside food or drinks, including filled water bottles, are allowed through the gates unless there is a medical requirement, in which case guests should identify themselves to staff upon entry. (source)

Can you leave and come back in?

Fans may re-enter McMahon Stadium if they pick up a checkout pass on their way out at one of the four checkout gates located in the four corners of the stadium. (source)

Can you smoke at McMahon Stadium?

Subject to City of Calgary smoking by-law number 57M92, McMahon Stadium is a non-smoking facility within the seating bowl and all concourse areas, including for e-cigarettes. Smoking areas are located outside the stadium in designated areas. (source)
