What are the tailgating rules at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium?
Tailgating areas are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Topper Town opens three hours before kickoff on the upper South Lawn, and Topper Walk begins two hours and twenty minutes before kickoff at Parking Structure 1. Upper South Lawn is reserved for Hilltopper Sports Properties and Learfield partner setups. WKU reserves the right to close grass tailgating areas due to inclement weather.
Is there a sun and shade map for Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium?
Not yet. We have not built a seat model here yet: it needs a recent lidar survey of the stands as they are now, and we are checking the available surveys stadium by stadium. We only publish seat and sun data measured from a survey of the stands as they are now, so this guide sticks to the schedule, parking and stadium policies until a newer survey is flown.
Before you go
- Bags: Fans entering with a bag must use a clear bag. Approved bags are a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote no larger than 12 in x 6 in x 12 in, a one-gallon clear plastic zip-top bag, or a small clutch purse no larger than 4.5 in x 6.5 in. Backpacks, large purses and other non-transparent totes are not allowed. Fans needing medical or family items may enter through Gate 1 or Gate 6, and bags or strollers can be checked between Gates 4 and 5. Bag policy.
- Getting there: Topper Transit provides complimentary shuttle service on campus beginning 2.5 hours before kickoff on two routes; service is suspended after kickoff and resumes at halftime until about one hour after the game. Parking and transit.
