What bag can you bring into Chaifetz Arena?

Guests are encouraged not to bring bags. Each guest, including children, may carry one approved clear bag and one clutch: a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 in x 6 in x 12 in, or a one-gallon clear plastic Ziploc-style bag, plus a clutch no larger than 7.5 in x 5.0 in. Diaper bags are allowed after inspection, with an exception for medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag. There are no provisions to check prohibited bags at the arena.

What items are banned at Chaifetz Arena?

Professional cameras with detachable lenses. Outside food and/or beverages. Weapons of any kind. Pepper spray, tasers, pocket knives. Audio/video recording devices (GoPro, iPad, tablets, etc.). Selfie sticks, tripods, monopods. Oversized bags and backpacks. Cans, metal/glass/plastic containers, bottles, or flasks. Illegal drugs or substances. Marijuana. Incendiary devices, flammable liquids, aerosol cans, permanent markers. Strollers, cruiser wagons. Banner sticks, flag poles, poster tubes. Items whose content cannot be inspected. Laptops, personal computers, two-way radios, tablets, iPads. Flashlights, laser pointers, flares, fireworks, confetti. Noise-making devices (air horns, whistles, bells, vuvuzelas, etc.). Balloons, balls, projectiles, or optical illusions. Skateboards, segways, scooters, roller blades, hoverboards, bikes, Heelys. Coolers, ice chests, folding chairs, point-tip umbrellas. Seat cushions or booster seats with zippers, pockets, or any concealable area. Masks, chains, studded belts or bracelets. Drones. Animals or pets, except trained service animals. Can you bring food or water into Chaifetz Arena?

Chaifetz Arena does not allow outside food or beverage into the venue. Guests are allowed to bring an empty plastic reusable water bottle not exceeding 2 liters; all bottles are inspected upon entry and must be completely empty. (source)

Can you leave and come back in?

Chaifetz Arena has a no re-entry policy for all events, with limited exceptions for all-day events or approved special circumstances. Any guest approved to exit and re-enter must have their ticket scanned out before exiting and scanned back in upon returning. (source)

Can you smoke at Chaifetz Arena?

Saint Louis University is a non-smoking campus. Smoking, vaping, or use of any electronic smoking device is not permitted in Chaifetz Arena at any time. A permitted smoking area is located just outside Gate E, with a hand stamp provided for re-entry through that gate only. (source)

Is Chaifetz Arena cashless?

Chaifetz Arena is a cashless venue. The box office, concessions and vendor points-of-sale only accept major debit or credit cards. A Reverse ATM on the concourse across from section 103 converts cash to a cash card for a fee; one ATM is also available next to it. (source)
